Food, Fun, and Five-Star Atmosphere!

The 2025 LFYO Fundraising Luncheon is just three months away. Last year‘s event was held at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. This year, we are back at Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse (downtown location), one of the best dining venues in Central Ohio. Attendees — hopefully you! — will be treated like royalty in a spectacular atmosphere fit for Queens and Kings. No cap. Enjoy an amazing five-star decor, exceptional service, and a three-course meal that will satisfy any palate. The salad, entrée trio (steak, chicken, and salmon) with sides, and mouthwatering desserts will be served to every guest. During the first hour of the event, exquisite hors d’oeuvres and colorful veggies as well as delicious fruits will be available. Come ready to eat, network, and be inspired! (Doors open at 11:30 AM for the networking hour.)

In grand style, we’re doing it big in 2025. Our keynote speaker is former OSU football coaching legend, Jim Tressel. Coach T, as he is affectionately known by many, will share a heartwarming message with guests on the rules of engagement for difference-makers. Drawing upon his expertise as a master-motivator on the gridiron, Coach T will challenge all in attendance to “pay it forward” so the least among us can have a fighting chance of winning the success-in-life game. Back in the day, he asked me to address his O State football teams on three separate occasions. What a privilege and an absolute honor for an ex-hooper to share life lessons to football players. The Master of Ceremonies for the luncheon will be Ahmaad Crump, the Cleveland Cavaliers hype man and crowd-boosting extraordinaire. Crump’s lively personality and energetic style will set the stage for an unforgettable lineup of program speakers. Other celebrity guests in attendance will include former Buckeye athlete greats and pro sports stars.

I will open up and close out the program, which will start promptly at 12:30 PM. I’ll provide attendees with a recap of what LFYO has achieved thus far in 2025 as well as our game plan for the remainder of the year. As a nonprofit, we are being asked to do more at a time when the need is even greater for our services than ever before. That’s why we have a fundraising goal of $500,000 for 2025. And we need your help to make this happen. Bid on incredible silent auction-item packages, from behind-the-scenes sports experiences to pamper-me-nice spa sessions with your besties to cooking demos with Central Ohio’s best chef at your private residence. With limited seating available, this exclusive event will be sold out. First preference for seating will be allocated to Legacy, Hall of Fame, All-Star, and Superstar sponsors.
