The pulse of any city can be measured by its philanthropic commitment to improve the life prospects and legacy pathways of those on the fringes of society.
In spite of falling short of our goal in raising $250,000, the 2024 LFYO Fundraising Luncheon on September 20th was a tremendous success. We secured just over $175,000 in financial support. A beautiful, sunny afternoon placed attendees in the perfect mood for a celebratory occasion. The atmosphere and ambiance at Ruth’s Chris Steak House were spectacular. The capacity crowd included celebrity athletes, business luminaries, and most notably, Central Ohioans who care deeply about our non-profit organization’s mission to change lives and transform legacies.

The first hour consisted of networking, delectable hors d’oeuvres, and generous bidding on 12 exclusive, auction-item packages (with the NCAA March Madness CBS In-Studio Experience generating the highest bid of $2,600). As you can see, excitement was buzzing in the air before the start of the program! In the second hour, a delicious three-course meal was served, including a house salad, trio lunch platter (4 ounce petite cut filet, 8 ounce stuffed chicken, 3 ounce crab cake, roasted garlic whipped potatoes, and creamed spinach), and a dessert duo (mini cheesecake and mini chocolate sin cake). LFYO partners reflected on their heartwarming experiences, followed by the thought-provoking insights from former OSU football legend and NFL great, Mike Doss. In short, each speaker reiterated a common theme: difference-makers make the difference in their own unique way. At their companies. With their colleagues. In their communities.
